By KATHERINE A. CARTERFox News — A U.N. official says it is looking for ways to cut costs and simplify the cargo industry.
The U.
Ns Commercial Transportation Safety Committee said Thursday it will meet next week in New York to examine options to cut freight lines in order to save money and speed up deliveries.
It said it is interested in exploring the possibility of a joint venture between a U.C.I.P. freight company and a UBS cargo carrier.
U.S.-based American Airlines and American Airlines Group Inc. were among the U.s. carriers that had rejected the proposal.
