In what is a long overdue fix, the NFL is working with the NFLPA to fix a train derailment that left a freight train damaged and stalled in the Midwest.
The derailment occurred in Minnesota, according to an NFL statement.
The freight train was hauling a freight trailer at the time.
The train is still stuck in the rail line.
The incident is the latest of several train derailments this year.
This is not the first time a freight rail car has derailed on a freight line in Minnesota.
In January, a freight freight train derailed near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, killing one person and injuring six others.
The second incident occurred in September.
