It’s an obvious question, but we thought it would be fun to ask, so here’s the scoop.
In the first week of October, a truck carrying a shipment of Harbor Freights freight came across a “creeper” in the warehouse, according to a statement from the company.
This creepere, when touched by the vehicle’s tires, “produced a massive fireball and caused a substantial fire damage to the freight container.”
The truck then sped off, leaving behind a “hazardous creeptime” and a “small amount of debris.”
The company also sent out a statement saying it was “extremely concerned” about the incident.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, “the cause of the fire is unknown.”
Harbor Freights is notifying customers and drivers to avoid the warehouse.
It also warns about the potential for other fires to occur in the area.
“It’s important to remember that a truck traveling in the same lane as a fire could easily catch fire,” the company says.
