In a new report from the freight shipping industry’s trade association, the United States Maritime Alliance, shipping companies are among the top performers in the industry.
The Maritime Alliance says that the largest freight carrier is West Coast Express, which has the most shipments in the US each day.
The Alliance estimates that West Coast’s average haul in 2014 was $2.8 billion.
Its biggest competitor, United Parcel Service, has an average haul of $2 billion.
The alliance estimates that the U.S. has nearly 1,000 freight companies.
West Coast, United and United Paraccel have been the top three freight carriers in the country, accounting for about one-third of all the freight in the United State, according to the alliance.
The largest carrier in the Midwest, American International Group, is third, with $2,077 million in shipments in 2014.
The third-largest freight carrier in Florida is the Florida Ports Authority, with about $2 million in total shipments.
